Privacy Policy

• Mobile number — to sign you in with a one-time password (OTP). It is your account.
• Profile — the name and photo you choose to add.
• Listings — what you post: title, description, photos, price, quantity, city, PIN code, specifications, and the contact number you give for the listing.
• Chats — messages you exchange with other users about listings.
• Activity — items you save to your wishlist, and listing view counts.
• Technical data — IP address, device and browser type, pages requested and error reports, recorded by our servers to run the service, keep it secure and fix problems.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser stores only what keeps you signed in on that device.

• To create your account, sign you in and keep your session secure.
• To show your listings to buyers and let buyers and sellers contact each other.
• To keep the marketplace safe: we review listings before they go live, and may review listings, chats and reports to stop fraud, spam, prohibited items and abuse.
• To suggest listing details and improve search with AI: photos and text of a listing you are creating, and the words you search for, are processed by an AI service to fill in details and understand your search.
• To reply to you, and to meet legal obligations.

A published listing is public. Anyone — signed in or not — can see its details and photos, the seller's name and city, and the contact phone number on the listing, which buyers use to call or WhatsApp you. Search engines such as Google may show listings in their results.

Your chats are visible only to you, the other person in the chat, and our team when reviewing for safety.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services that run Stock4Sale, for that purpose:

• Google (Firebase Authentication and reCAPTCHA) — sends and checks your OTP, and protects sign-in from bots.
• Amazon Web Services, Mumbai — hosts the service and stores data, photos and backups.
• OpenRouter and Anthropic — the AI service behind listing suggestions and search. They may process the data outside India.
• WhatsApp— only when you choose to contact someone through it; WhatsApp's own policy then applies.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, for example to a court or government authority.

• Your account, listings and chats — for as long as your account is active.
• After you delete your account — your listings are removed and your personal details are erased.
• Database backups — up to 30 days, then deleted automatically.
• Server logs — a short period, usually under 30 days.

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is stored on access-controlled servers in India. Backups are encrypted and locked against deletion. Only authorised team members can access personal data, and only when needed. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your phone and OTPs to yourself — we will never ask you for an OTP.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
• correct or update it — you can also edit your profile and listings yourself;
• erase it by deleting your account;
• hear and resolve a complaint about how we handle your data.

To delete your account or make any request, email help@stock4sale.in from or mentioning your registered mobile number. We verify it is you and act within 30 days.

Stock4Sale is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

For any question or complaint about your data, contact our Grievance Officer at help@stock4sale.in. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.

We update this policy when what we do changes, and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by message before it applies. Using Stock4Sale also means accepting our Terms of Use.
